    A movement of citizens, inspired by the presidential campaign, is now voting on ideas for how the Obama administration should change America . One of Northern California’s Department of Peace volunteers submitted to “Ideas for Change in America ” establishment of a U.S. Department of Peace to be headed by a cabinet-level Secretary of Peace.

    The top 10 ideas will be determined through online voting and will be presented to the Obama administration on Inauguration Day. The winning idea will be supported by a national lobbying campaign run by Change.org, MySpace, and more than a dozen leading nonprofits. Each idea has a real chance of becoming policy. Please vote for establishment of a U.S. Department of Peace today—voting ends January 15, 2009.
